Oak Six
Welcome to Oak 6!
Oak 6 is home to our cohort of year 6 pupils and their teacher, Mrs Ward.
In our class, we strive to be the best we can be: hard working, kind, helpful, respectful, encouraging, inclusive, determined, persevering, resilient and excellent role models.
In Oak 6, learning is all about having fun!

Our Learning
Our World, One World, a World for All.
‘The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it.’ (Psalm 24:1)
This term our golden thread is: Our world, one world, a world for all. We will be using this thread as a lens to look at our learning through.
Through the different curriculum areas, we will be exploring: writing to discuss, percentages and measures, population and where does our energy come from?, living things and their habitats, hockey and team building, computer aided design and so much more!
Sharing our learning
We share our learning with our families at home using our learning journey platform: Seesaw.
It is brilliant to be able to share to all of the wonderful things we learning and achieve directly with people at home.
Reading
We believe that it is important to encourage everyone to develop a ‘Life-long Love of Reading’. Children are given opportunities daily to ‘read for pleasure’ while they are at school and as a class. We love sharing the books we are currently enjoying.
